Add guidelines
What about adding the possibility to add guidelines, which are normally created by clicking a ruler and moving them to any position ?

Do you refer to visual lines that show idents? These lines are already available in the editor. Clicking a ruler creates a tab stop, which is also available, please refer to the documentation:
