add a project structure for organizing multiple documents of different types into a coherent project
I use text editors and spreadsheets for world building and writing stories. It ends up being gigantic projects with hundreds of thousand of words, multiple tables, pictures, external links, pictures, etc...
I would love to be able to separate the various parts of the background in multiple documents of different types. Think for world building: a different file for each region or country, another or several other for the different factions, a table for the resources available per region or faction, maybe another for a relationship graph, etc...
Ideally, it would largely resemble the headings list in the left panel, but with a ability to reference external files as well as headings in this document.
It should also be possible to use relative links within the project, so if you move the folder for any reason, you don't get dead links as long as the structure remains the same inside the folder

Hi Constantine, unfortunately I cannot name a processor capable of such management. I have been trying to find such a functionality in word processors for decades now, without success.
For now, I am using OneNote to have the structure, but the editor in each note is rudimentary.
I am actually starting to look into the OnlyOffice API to maybe try and make one myself

Thank you for the idea. Can you name a processor that is capable of such management? If so, kindly asking you to share a documentation link that describes this feature for the reference.
