Print options could be extended to include page numbers, and also things like page x of n, dates, title, filename etc.
When printing a document, additional features could be added to allow page numbers, and additional fields such as total number of pages in the document, the date, file name and path, and others.

Usually such information is included in headers and footers. I have never used an app that allows configuring such information in printing dialog. Can you name one for the reference?
