Making Advanced Settings More Accessible in ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors
Dear ONLYOFFICE Team,
First and foremost, thank you so much for the invaluable product you are offering to the community. I deeply appreciate the work and dedication that goes into making ONLYOFFICE such a powerful and accessible tool.
I use ONLYOFFICE on my Ubuntu system as a replacement for both Microsoft Office and LibreOffice, and I’ve been consistently impressed by its performance, intuitive design, and rich feature set.
That said, I wanted to kindly share a small piece of feedback regarding the desktop editors (Docs, Slides, and Sheets). At present, the advanced settings for shapes, images, and paragraphs are accessed through the "Show advanced settings" option, which opens a separate pop-up window. While this setup is functional, it can be a bit cumbersome when trying to make quick edits, especially since the pop-up prevents interaction with other elements until it's closed.
As a suggestion, it might be more user-friendly to display these advanced settings inline—beneath the regular options—when an object is selected. This is a UI pattern seen in applications like Microsoft Office, WPS Office, and Google Docs/Slides, and it greatly enhances both usability and editing efficiency.
I truly enjoy using ONLYOFFICE and hope this small suggestion might contribute to making this already fantastic product even better.
Thank you.

It is planned in one of the future releases.

Understood, we need some time for internal discussion. I'll update this thread once we have something to share.

Hi Alexandre,
Yes, or either on the right sidebar like this image. Having both would be even better! :)
Thanks for considering.

Hello,
Thank you for the kind words!
Just to make sure that we are on the same page. Do I understand it right that you're suggesting to move advanced setting to the main toolbar?
