I’d like to suggest a feature enhancement that would significantly improve usability for multilingual users: the ability to set the interface language and the default document language independently.

Currently, changing the interface language also affects the default language used for spellcheck and grammar in new documents. This can be limiting for users who prefer to work with the UI in one language (e.g., English) but primarily write documents in another (e.g., German, Spanish, etc.).

Proposed Improvement:

Add separate settings in the preferences panel:

    One for selecting the interface language.

    Another for setting the default language for new documents (used for spellcheck, grammar check, etc.).

Benefits:

Enhances flexibility for multilingual users.

Reduces friction for international teams and users working in global environments.

Aligns with best practices seen in other productivity suites.

This change would make ONLYOFFICE even more accessible and user-friendly for a broader audience. Thank you for considering this request!
