Remove the loss of focus in the editor on the mac using the option/ctrl key.
When you press option/ ctrl, the cursor focus leaves the editor, which causes the language change to be accompanied by a headache, since after changing the language you need to pick up the mouse and click back to the place where the cursor should be.

Please include the version of Desktop Editors and provide a simple screen recording of the behavior for the team to review and assist.
