Folder size and graphical representation
Feature Suggestion: Folder Size & Storage Visualization Dashboard
I would like to suggest adding a Folder Size and Storage Visualization feature to the Onlyoffice DocSpace.
Currently, it is difficult to determine which folders are consuming the most storage space. A visual and analytical view would greatly improve storage management and efficiency.
Proposed Features:
- Folder Size Display
- Show the total size of each folder directly in the file explorer view.
- Display subfolder sizes recursively.
- Graphical Storage Representation
Provide a visual dashboard with:
- Pie chart or donut chart showing storage distribution by folder.
- Tree map view for hierarchical space usage.
- Bar chart for top 10 largest folders/files.
- Large File Identification
Dedicated section for:
- Largest files (sortable by size).
- Files above a user-defined threshold (e.g., >100MB).
- Duplicate or rarely accessed large files.
- Drill-Down Capability
- Clickable charts that allow users to navigate directly to large folders/files.
- Expandable tree structure to identify exactly where storage is being consumed.
- Storage Insights Panel
Summary metrics such as:
- Total used vs available space.
- Percentage usage by category (Documents, Media, Backups, etc.).
- Alerts for unusually large uploads.
Benefits:
- Helps users quickly identify storage-heavy folders.
- Simplifies cleanup and optimization.
- Improves transparency in space utilization.
- Saves time when managing large cloud environments.
This feature would significantly enhance user control and visibility over their cloud storage usage.
