In general, you can insert HTML content into documents via Plugins. If you have HTML code from any other source and you want to insert it, you can use HTML plugin: https://www.onlyoffice.com/app-directory/html
If you are looking for a way to integrate the service into the editor, please visit the Plugin API for more details: https://api.onlyoffice.com/docs/plugin-and-macros/get-started/
With a custom plugin you can develop necessary logic for handling the workflow with the service according to your needs. -

As for the suggestion: you can enable Dark Document mode to switch canvas color from the View tab on the main toolbar. Is that what you are looking for?

As for the suggestion, please elaborate on it. Right now you can use Ctrl+Shift+S to instantly open "Save as" option to select necessary format for saving. If it does not suit your goal, please share more details about suggested idea.

Have you encountered a processor that allows specifying several folders with templates?
By the way, when creating a new file you can choose a template manually from File tab with Create from a template option as a workaround.
